Comillas 2.0 Some people refer to human-centered product and service design as experience design, but I would agree that this term is presumptuous; we can design every aspect of the environment to encourage an optimal experience, but since each person brings her own attitudes, behaviours and perceptions to any situation, no designer can determine exactly what experience someone has.

For this reason, I prefer to product and service design, or simply product design.Comillas 2.0

Comillas 2.0

Comillas 2.0 If you are like me, you really care about user experience. You care about human factors, ergonomics, usability, user-centered design, information architecture, and all that other great stuff. You have a deep, sincere empathy for users. If you are like me, you truly enjoy UX and everything it stands for. You care about users, you like research, and you like to help other people. You’re hip on UX. Maybe you’re in love with UX. Comillas 2.0 Let’s say we’re writing software. We begin with an idea of a human problem to address, and star making whiteboards sketches of a user interfaces. As we build it, we become keenly aware of the data that under-grids the application, and the logic that turns that data into something useful. Comillas 2.0

Comillas 2.0 In his book The Image of the City (1960), Kevin Lynch coined the term “wayfinding” to describe his concept of environmental legibility that is, the elements of the built environment that allow us to navigate successfully through complex spaces like cities and towns. The most fundamental underlying metaphor of the World Wide Web  is navigation through a space populated  by places we call web “sites,” and thus  the wayfinding metaphor is  perfect for thinking about web navigation.
